A Message from Village President Linda Jackson
Dear Village residents, business owners, and neighbors,

The Village of Glendale Heights has retained Hillard Heintze, one of the world’s leading security risk management firms, to conduct an independent investigation into the facts and circumstances of the officer’s actions and arrest that took place this morning in the 500 block of Gregory Avenue. The video of the arrest that is circulating on social media is shocking and distressing to see. We must preserve the trust of our community by being as transparent as possible.

While the video is shocking to see, significant portions of the video are missing from the publicly available posts. We are requesting that anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone with additional videos to call Dept. Chief Oliver at 630.909.5453.

The officer involved in the incident is currently on administrative leave.

Every day our officers are called to keep our community safe. The partnership that exists between our community and our police department is the cornerstone of good government. We will continue to strengthen that relationship and protect your safety even in the most challenging of times.

Thank you.

Linda Jackson
Village President
