Registration Begins May 1
for the 2011/2012 School Year

The Glendale Heights Preschool Program prepares your child for kindergarten by providing a loving, caring environment taught by experienced early childhood teachers. Children are encouraged to explore, discover and create through fun-filled learning experiences. Children participate in a variety of developmentally appropriate activities designed to help them socially, academically, and physically. This continuous program also helps provide the basis for future reading and writing skills. It also includes activities in the areas of music, art, language development, science, math and gross and fine motor development.

Fees are listed as Resident/School District Resident/Nonresident

(School District Rate applies to those living outside Glendale Heights but within school districts 15, 16 and 41)


Preschool Class (Age 3)

This class gives the opportunity to explore, discover, problem solve, and build self-esteem. Children will be introduced to colors, numbers, and shapes through developmentally appropriate activities with emphasis on social and emotional growth.

Pre-Kindergarten Class (Age 4)

This preschool class is recommended for children who will start kindergarten in the fall 2011. Letters, alphabets, numbers, shapes, color recognition, socialization, and name writing are some of the areas of emphasis for a smooth transition into kindergarten.

Introduction to Preschool Class (Ages 2.5 – 3.5)

This class is a great way to prepare your child for our Preschool Program. Children will meet preschool staff and become familiar with the classrooms. Emphasis is placed on socialization skills, as well as building self-esteem. Each week a new theme will be explored through fun-filled stories, songs, finger plays, art and dramatic play. Please bring a small snack and drink. *Children must be 2.5 years old and wear pull-ups.

P.E.P. Club (Preschool Extension Program)

Parents, add to your child's learning experience through age appropriate activities in science, math, cooking, music and art. Extend your child's preschool day by enrolling them in P.E.P. Club. Children will bring a bag lunch to eat with the teacher, and then will engage in our fun preschool extension program. Register monthly; fees and dates vary per month. Children must be enrolled in Glendale Heights Preschool to participate in P.E.P. Club. P.E.P. Club is held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after morning classes and before afternoon classes.

Fee: $62.00 monthly

Preschool Family Fun Fair

Thursday, August 18, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Come for a night of fun and meet our wonderful Preschool staff. Enjoy music, activities, storytelling, art, crafts and much more. Open registration will also be available at this event.

Preschool Orientation Night

Wednesday, September 7 and Thursday, September 8
6:00 pm – 7:00 pm


Summer Preschool

Introduce your child to the preschool classrooms and preschool staff by enrolling in this fun summer preschool class. Children will explore preschool classrooms and have fun playing games, doing crafts, music, outdoor play and water park activities.

Admission Information

A monthly payment plan is offered to assist parents with the financial responsibilities of the preschool program. To keep the monthly payments consistent, the total program fee is spread out evenly over 9 payments. The first payment is due at the time of registration. Payment dates are: September 1st, October 1st, November 1st, December 1st, January 1st, February 1st, March 1st and April 1st. An additional $25 non-refundable fee will apply to all new students.

All children develop at different rates. If you feel your child is ready for the Pre-K class, but does not go to kindergarten in the fall of 2012, please contact the Preschool staff at (630) 260-6060. They will assist you in choosing the perfect class for your child.

Our preschool program curriculum reflects the guidelines of the State of Illinois learning standards. We are proud to be licensed by the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services (D.C.F.S.).

Registration for the 2011/2012 Preschool year begins May 1. If your child turns 3 after the September 12th start date, you can register him/her during the month of their 3rd birthday to begin the first month after their birthday.
