Teddy Bear Camp (Ages 5-10)

Children will draw many different bears during each class! You can bring your favorite bear to class each day. On the last day we will draw a great big family! (1 week)

Horse Drawing Class (Ages 7-13)

Are your children into horses? This camp will help them bring together their love of horses and art. Classes are taught by Young Rembrandts instructors who provide a positive learning environment for your child. (1 week)

Magnificent Magic (Ages 5-12)

Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind reading and more. This class teaches you easy ways to perform new tricks. All materials are provided and each child receives a magic kit to take home. Children are grouped by age and always learn age appropriate tricks.

Introduction to Kayaking (Ages 8-15)

Hit the water this summer…in a kayak! Packed with fundamentals, this clinic teaches kids to kayak by using fun games like water polo and frisbee. Kids learn essential techniques and safety rules. Personal floatation devices will be available. Class is held in Carol Stream (Coral Cove Pool).

Safety Town Classes

This year’s program will consist of five daily classes for children ages 5 through 7 (children must be 5 years of age by the time their first class starts). Topics included: Pedestrian Safety, Railroad Safety, Fire Safety, Stranger Danger, 911, First Aid Poisons, Bike Safety and Seat Belts. Maximum class size is 24 students. Registration begins May 1st for Glendale Heights and Glenside Fire Protection District residents. Open registration begins May 10th.

Junior Police Academy

The Glendale Heights Police Department will be conducting a week long camp for children 11-14 years. The children will be involved in fun-filled activities, which not only teach them how to better themselves, but also how to be assets to our community. The G.R.E.A.T. summer camp offers a diversity of both educational and recreational programs that will enrich the lives of the children involved. The children will experience how to become a police officer in this week long program. Participants will also be involved in other team building recreational activities.
