Swim Lessons

(2 weeks, Mon – Thurs)
Regular Lesson: $40 resident/$45 nonresident
Lesson with Pool Pass: $38 resident/$43
nonresident

Classes are held Monday through Thursday. Friday will be used as a make up day in the event a class is canceled. Parents may observe lessons from the concession area ONLY. Children will be evaluated on the first day of class. If the child does not exhibit the skills necessary for a particular level, the student will be placed in a lower level. If the student appears to be more advanced, they will be moved up to the appropriate level. Students will only be moved by recommendation of instructor. Registration ends at 9:00 p.m. the Friday before the session begins.


The best way to find the right class is to read the skills taught. If your child has not accomplished them yet, it is the best level for them. Ages noted are only suggestions. All classes include WATER SAFETY!

Little Swimmers (6 months - 3 Years w/Parent)

This is an introductory swim class for parents and children. Fundamentals taught to children and parents will be pool safety, comfort in the water, front and back holds for floating, kicking, and arm movement. Come join us for fun with water and songs to build basic skills.

Minnows (3-5 Years)

This class is for students who have not had experience with swimming but are willing to be without a parent in a learning environment. Skills taught include comfort in the water, supported front and back floats, kicking and arm motions.

Jelly Fish (3-5 Years)

This class is for students who are comfortable in the water, are able to fully put their face in the water on their own or have passed the Minnows level. Skills taught include front and back swimming with support, kicking, and floating.

Penguins (6 Years and Up)

This class is for students who have passed Jellyfish or are comfortable floating on their front and back and not afraid to go underwater. Skills taught include front and backstroke, glides, introduction to rotary breathing, and elementary backstroke.

Starfish (6 Years and Up)

This class is for students who have passed Penguins or are able to swim 30 feet with both the front and backstroke non-stop. Skills taught include proficiency in rotary breathing, elementary backstroke, treading water, breaststroke and increasing distance.

Advanced (All Ages)

This class is for students of all ages, including adults who have completed Starfish and/or are looking to strengthen their current skills. Instruction ranges from the fundamentals of swimming to perfecting stroke techniques to preparing for competitive swimming. Instructors tailor swim instruction to fit each individual's need. Limited to instructor availability.
