Hub Highlights
Community Garage Sale (All Ages)

Saturday, August 16, 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Clean out the basement, attic and garage! It’s time to get rid of all that stuff you no longer want. Rent a space and sell it all at our 4th Annual Community Garage Sale. Remember, one man's trash is another man's treasure. First 25 registered are guaranteed a table (one table per family). Location: Camera Park Parking Lot

Indoor Soccer Session I (Co-ed Recreational, U8 - U16)

Come experience the excitement of indoor Soccer. Games are played on Saturdays and Sundays, except for U6 which plays on Mondays. All registration is accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Registration has begun and will close once all available spaces have been filled. Waiting lists will be accepted. These codes are for recreational teams only. No games will be played during Thanksgiving weekend. 6 weeks/6 Games.

Fee: $450 per team

Indoor Soccer Session I (Individual Recreational Players, U6-U14)

Take your soccer skills indoors. Even if your whole team doesn’t want to play indoor soccer, you still can. The Sports Hub is offering individuals the chance to sign-up and play indoor soccer. Games will be played on Saturdays except for U-6, which plays on Mondays. Season begins November 1 and runs though mid December. Each player will receive a t-shirt. Players will be drafted and divided into teams. Team availability depends on registration. (You can also register a whole team into this league-see Indoor Soccer Session I).

Fee: $60/ $65

Fitness Center Grand Re-Opening

The Glendale Heights Parks, Recreation & Facilities Department is excited to announce the Grand Re-opening of the Sports Hub Fitness Center, which is located at 250 Civic Center Plaza.

Rules of the Road

The Rules of the Road review course is designed to give drivers, including senior citizens and persons with disabilities the knowledge and confidence needed to pass driver’s license renewal exams. YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER IN PERSON OR BY TELEPHONE 630-260-6060.

We're off to the races at magnificent Arlington Park! Place your bets on the exciting thoroughbred races while enjoying our outdoor reserved seats. Lunch is on your own.

Preschool Family Fun Fair

Thursday, August 21, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Come for a night of fun, explore the Preschool classrooms, and meet the Preschool staff. Enjoy music activities, story telling, arts and crafts and other entertainment. Open registration will also be available at this event.

Preschool Program

Registration is being accepted for the 2008/2009 Preschool Program.

The Glendale Heights Preschool Program prepares your child for kindergarten by providing a loving, caring environment taught by experienced early childhood teachers. Children are encouraged to explore, discover and create through fun-filled learning experiences. Children participate in a variety of developmentally appropriate activities designed to help them socially, academically, and physically.

This continuous program also helps provide the basis for future reading and writing skills. It also includes activities in the areas of music, art, language development, science, math and gross and fine motor development.
