Design a beautiful 8” glass bowl with any array of colors and types of dichroic glass. It will make a beautiful piece of art to display in your own home or give as a gift. Create three pendants using a new technique with glass paper. Choose from different paper punches and design unique pictures on your glass pendants. All tools and supplies will be provided. This class will help you master basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows, use of the Internet, E-Mail, Word Processing, and Excel. You will learn how to manage files in Windows, setup an E-Mail account, browse the Internet, create a Word document, and an Excel spreadsheet. This course is designed for students with little or no prior experience.

This introductory course will teach you how to set up an email account, become a pro at playing CDs on your computer and understand the many functions of Microsoft Windows. You will also become comfortable navigating the internet, using search engines and visiting helpful websites for news, shopping, weather, maps and driving directions.

Make your next presentation a hit! Learn how to create an effective and exciting slide show with Microsoft PowerPoint. This hands-on course will consist of how to use the tool bars, common task buttons, slider bar, tab buttons, and other functions of the PowerPoint screen. There will be a simple overview on developing and managing slides, creating the slide show using a design template, and running the slide show for an audience.

Learn to create databases and manage information efficiently! This hands-on class covers the features and functionality of Microsoft Access. You will learn basic database skills and how to create tables, queries, forms, and reports which are applicable for the home and workplace.

You can be a pro at using Microsoft Word in this introductory class! You will become familiar with the various toolbars, clicking options, how to highlight text and start paragraphs. You will also learn to utilize other Word features such as inserting text, bold, underline, italicize, copying and pasting. This hands-on class will also cover basic functions such as the tab key, bulleting, numbering, undo, redo, printing, and help. All of these tips and tricks will help you to create professional documents that are quick and easy!

If you already know the basics of Word, this hands-on class will take you to the next step! You’ll learn how to make diagrams and tables, turn a completed document into a PDF and all about the advanced tools in this program. Find out how to use the Microsoft Wizard to create professional resumes, letters, flyers, business cards, newsletters and calendars. You’ll also discover how to save time on your next mailing of invitations or holiday cards, by creating address labels and printing on envelopes.

Save time and manage information more effectively at work or home with Excel! Although knowledge of the Windows environment is helpful, this is a great first-time or refresher course for anyone. We will cover the basics of navigating the Excel window and spreadsheet. You will become familiar with the cells and how to change the format, alignment and fonts. You will learn how to easily perform mathematical calculations as well. By the end of this hands-on course, you will be able to create a chart in your own Excel spreadsheet.

Get ready to impress your coworkers! In the hands-on, intermediate Excel class, you will learn many of the advanced cell formatting techniques that will save you time and create a professional spreadsheet. You will learn how to add pictures and diagrams, merge columns, and turn your final product into a PDF.
