The 2011-12 Village vehicle stickers will be on sale at the Village Civic Center beginning on Monday, May 2nd. The new vehicle sticker must be displayed by 12:01 am, July 1st, 2011 on the lower right hand corner of the windshield. Per Village Code 11-7-1, all vehicles registered to the Village are required to have a valid vehicle sticker.

Overnight parking on Village streets is restricted to those vehicles having a valid vehicle sticker.

Stickers by Mail
If you bought one or more stickers last year, the Village will mail you a pre-printed renewal application during the first week in May. If you received a pre-printed renewal application, you’ll be able to conveniently purchase your sticker either by mail or at the Village Civic Center. If you have not received a pre-printed form in the mail, you are required to provide proof of your State Vehicle Registration indicating your Glendale Heights address at time of purchase. Exceptions are to students in a local college or residents who bring home a business vehicle. Students are to bring proof of attending school, and residents with a business vehicle are to bring a business letter.

Sticker Buying In Person
If you’d rather buy your new sticker(s) in person instead of by mail, or need to provide your proof of registration, you can do so at the Village Civic Center during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, and Thursday evenings until 7:00 pm. For your convenience the Village Civic Center will be open on Saturdays in June from 9:00 am to 12 noon.

Grace Period
New or Used Vehicle Purchase- a grace period of 30 days is given for the owner of said vehicle to purchase their vehicle sticker (license) without penalty.
Newly Established Residency- a grace period of 30 days is given for owner of said vehicle to purchase their vehicle sticker (license) without penalty

* Senior Citizen rate applies to a person 62 or older, by May 31st of the current season. Current driver’s license must be furnished. A second senior vehicle sticker is $5.00

Stickers are issued at *no charge (one to a household) to the following:

• Disabled Veteran (with DAV Plates)
• Disabled residents with proof of disability from the Social Security Administration
• Senior Citizens, 62 years of age and older
• Glenside Fire Protection District Volunteers 

Late Payment Penalty
A $10.00 penalty will be charged if application is received after the deadline date of June 30.
A $20.00 penalty will be charged if application is received after the deadline date of July 31.
A $30.00 penalty will be charged if application is received after the deadline date of August 31.

We strongly recommend purchasing your stickers early to avoid lines and penalties.
