Glendale Heights Fest

See you at Glendale Heights Fest 2014
July 9 - July 13

Known to many as one of the Western Suburbs premier events, Glendale Heights Fest will be held in 2014 on Wednesday, July 9 through Sunday, July 13 at Camera Park, 101 E. Fullerton Avenue in Glendale Heights. Enjoy the North American Midway Entertainment carnival and rides, along with exciting entertainment and fantastic food booths. Enjoy a breathtaking display of fireworks at dusk on July 9 and July 13. Plan to spend a fun-filled week in town at Glendale Heights Fest with delicious food and entertainment for the entire family.

State curfew for anyone under 17 years of age is 11:00pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and midnight on Friday and Saturday. Anyone under the age of 17 at the Glendale Heights Fest after curfew must be with a parent or gaurdian or will be in violation of curfew. The curfew laws will be enforced by the Glendale Heights Police Department.

Road Closures

On Sunday, July 13 beginning at approximately 7:00pm, Fullerton Avenue (from Bloomingdale Road to President Street) and President Street (from Armitage Avenue to Fullerton Avenue) will be closed for the viewing of the fireworks display until approximately 11:00pm. The Camera Park and Americana Park parking lots will also be closed from approximately 7:00pm until approximately 11:00pm.

This is done in order to provide for the safety of the viewing public and to ensure the ability of emergency services personnel to respond where needed.

"Ride the Bull"
Country Night on Friday, July 11 from 6:00pm - 11:30pm

Volunteers from the food pantry at Family In Faith Christian Church will be donating their time to run the mechanical bull ticket booth.  100% of the proceeds will be used for the food pantry building fund.  They provided more than 900,000 pounds of food to needy families in this area for the last nine years.

Glendale Heights Idol

Individuals singers or duos are wanted for the 5th Annual Glendale Heights Idol Competition (open to all ages). Applications must be submitted to the Village of Glendale Heights on or before 4:30 pm, Friday, June 27th. Please be sure that your contact information is included with your entry. No entries will be accepted after this date. Performances must be family appropriate and should be no longer than 3 minutes. The song submitted on the application will be your competition song. No substitutions will be allowed. Depending on the number of applications submitted, auditions may be scheduled. If music is needed, you must supply your own CD. Finalists will be notified on or before July 1st. Click here to download an application.
