| "Winston Churchill said, ‘A politician needs the ability to foretell what is going to happen, tomorrow, next week, next month, and next year. And to have the ability afterwards to explain why it didn’t happen.’ I never dreamed how true a statement that really was. As I enter my 8th year as your Trustee, the challenges don’t get any easier. We need more revenue, more opportunities for our residents, more places for our young people to safely play. We need all these things and more without raising taxes, cutting jobs or cutting programs and amenities for our residents. Not an easy thing to do. I am proud to say that this Board has strived to do just that. We want Glendale Heights to be the best town in DuPage County to live in. We want our residents to feel proud of our town. We work hard everyday to achieve that. I hope you feel that we have succeeded; that’s our goal. We will never stop working to keep Glendale Heights the best place to live.
