The primary goal and responsibly of the Purchasing Division is to obtain the best value possible for the taxpayer’s dollar, within the rules and regulations that govern public purchase of goods and services. The Village strives to purchase at the lowest possible cost, consistent with the needs of the user department.

Business Opportunities

The Village of Glendale Heights seeks Quotations, Bids, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for the purchase and acquisition of equipment, supplies, materials, and professional services. Small purchases are acquired through obtaining prices quotations with vendors interested in doing business with the Village. Higher value purchases are acquired under a competitive bid or request for proposal process. We encourage firms interested in doing business with the Village to submit information relating to your business for future consideration in purchasing opportunities.

Current Bid Listing

WESTERN AVENUE REALIGNMENT - Sealed bids to complete all work required for the Western Avenue Realignment will be received by the Village of Glendale Heights, DuPage County, Illinois until 10:00 am (Central Time) on April 23, 2014. Thereafter or as soon as thereafter is practicable, all bids received will be publicly opened and the bid prices read aloud. Sealed envelopes or packages containing bids shall be addressed to the Office of Purchasing, Glendale Heights Civic Center, 300 Civic Center Plaza, Glendale Heights, Illinois 60139, and shall be marked "Sealed Bid - Western Avenue Realignment."

An onsite pre-bid meeting for contractors interested will be held on April 17, 2014 at 10:00 am at the project site (southeast corner of Western Avenue and North Avenue). Village and consulting engineer staff will be on hand to answer questions regarding interpretations of the project plans and specifications and discuss project scheduling.

DEMOLITION - The Village of Glendale Heights will receive sealed bids for demolition of the original two story barn at 1512 Bloomingdale, and the complete demolition of the property at 566 Sidney Avenue, Glendale Heights, IL. The work will consist of securing the necessary IEPA permits, installation and removal of perimeter site safety fencing, demolition, removal and disposal of all debris and site grading. Bids are due and will be opened and read aloud on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 10:00 am, local time at the Office of Administrative Services, Village of Glendale Heights, 300 Civic Center Plaza, Glendale Heights, IL.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 1512 Bloomingdale Road, at 2:00 pm on April 17, 2014. Immediately following this meeting, attendees will be allowed time to travel to and inspect the 566 Sidney property. Failure to attend this meeting will disqualify your firm from qualifying as a bidder

GAZEBO - The Village of Glendale Heights is seeking proposals from qualified firms for the purchase, design, delivery, and installation of a Gazebo to replace the present Gazebo at Camera Park, Village of Glendale Heights. Sealed proposals must be submitted in compliance with the specified requirements of the RFP document and be received prior to Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 2:00 pm, in the Office of Purchasing, Glendale Heights Municipal Center, 300 Civic Center Plaza, Glendale Heights, IL 60139.
